Organization
The name WU LIN is Chinese and means 'martial-arts community'. It is of great importance to the WU LIN Organization to teach in a holistic, traditional, and authentic way. The philosophical concepts and contexts of Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism find their way completely naturally into the classes.
The WU LIN Philosophy
The focus of the WU LIN Organization is to enable its students to use various physical and mental 'tools' in the form of techniques and theories, as well as to show them the respective use. The synergy which develops from the varied selection is important. The courses, training sessions, and seminars complement and influence each other in a positive way. How, when, and if these 'tools' are finally used, depends on the individual. Important elements in training are a.o. the promotion of autonomy and independence. Other virtues the training is striving for are e.g.:
- patience
- discipline
- attentiveness
- respect
- clarity
- compassion
- honesty
- sense of responsibility
The WU LIN Organization appreciates people who try out new things, think, make conclusions, and also scrutinize. The way is the goal. The WU LIN Organization sees itself as a companion on this way who motivates and supports the student for some time on his/her very personal journey.
The core competences of the WU LIN Organization and the WU LIN martial-arts schools are in the following fields. Please note that the offered selection can vary from school to school.
- Kung Fu
- Qi Gong
